Another epic game that was neck-and-neck right up to the end for these BRP Ultimate Frisbee players. . .

Mr. Holland showed for the 6:30 Frisbee standard, where he and YHC ran over a mile while practicing Frisbee throws.

The pax trickled in right up until start time (and one FNG even after), so we dispensed with the warmup (probably shouldn't have) and just dove right in to the main course. The Orange team had five players and the Not Orange only four, but that seemed to work out pretty well, mostly due to the exceptional hustle of Mr. Holland, Space X, Waffle House, and Roadie.

Orange was down by three early on, but rallied to tie and then take the lead. The excitement never diminished as the two teams duked it out on the artificial turf like Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots with opposable thumbs and running capabilities. Due to Mr. Holland being both young and full of newfangled ideas, there was some kind of a point reset with 10 minutes left and (yada yada yada) we finished the game.

Regardless, NOT Orange was destined for success because they could always claim they only lost because they were one player down. And if they won, then they even get more credit. But I'm giving them the victory anyway, on account of their epic last play, which will go down in the annals of Ultimate history.

We played for a solid hour with a five-minute break, with some of us tracking 3 to 4 miles of mostly sprinting. As usual, a great workout cleverly disguised as the most fun participation sport ever.

The COT (Circle of Trust), led by YHC, dealt with the usual contemplation of the suffering of others in combination with gratitude for our prosperity.

Props to Space X for his plus-one FNG James and to YHC's brother-in-law Deputy Dog for getting up early on his vacay to play.

Coffeeteria was attended by Waffle House, Bubbles, Halftime and YHC, where we discussed, among other things, YHC's old dating stories (leaving no room for Bubbles, who is actually single) to share his—presumably more interesting—experiences.

Thanks for the fellowship and the fun, gentlemen. Until we meet again in the field of combat!
