YHC threw out a bland PB just saying > 3 miles and fun. I rolled in with a few options to do. 4 pax showed so the decidering was easy.
Warmorama: 1 mile warm up then some SSH, Windmill, Slow Squat.
What happened next: 1 mile run. Then some core with LBC, WW2, Low Flutter. Then another mile and change.
COT happened.
Moleskin:
- We got our 3 miles. Blackbeard and I cleared about 3.25 while Chilly Willy and AMPM got to 5 due to standard extra credit.
- YHC forgot his watch so I can’t be blamed for what came next.
- Apparently we ended up running a 5K at 9:16 pace. That’s a PR for Blackbeard and I since before our last surgeries. It was somewhat accidental as we didn’t plan to run under 10. But when the conversation is good and your body is cooperating, why not just let it do its thing.
- So here is what I learned today: Sometimes just let go and go with the flow. There is joy and accomplishment to be found there. Thanks for the lesson Blackbeard, Chilly Willy and AMPM.
