YHC attempted to call out a few more Latta locals on Twitter, including Dirt, Jingle Bells, and Vandelay. Vandelay gets a pass since he has a baby at home. We worried about the others and hope they got a good workout at whichever AO they attended today.
Here is, roughly, what we did:
0500: Tantrum and YHC for a run standard of ~2.4 miles, including 1 hill repeat. We found Jaws on the way back to the AO.
0532: We waited, an extra 2 minutes; just in case Mona Lisa was going to join us fashionably late. No sign of anyone else so the 3 of us set off.
WARM-O-RAMA:
- Run ~1 mile, to the Latta pool but taking a long-ish way to add extra distance.
- Disclaimer: Forgot at this point. Mentioned one later. Cobains.
The Aqua Titan Thing!
- Swim 1 lap free style
- Swim 1 lap back stroke
- One legged pool jump ups x 10 each leg
- Swim 1 lap via underwater as far as possible then free style
- Lunge walk back
- Swim 1 lap via exaggerated side strokes. *shrug*
- Ok. Let me mention at this point…I really don't know what I'm doing and am not qualified to lead a swimming workout. YHC can barely describe the things we did today. But we tried.
- Few more laps, including 1 more backstroke. Maybe there were ~7 laps in total.
We did some things out of the pool including:
- Mericans x 10 IC
- Low flutters x 25 IC
- LBCs x 25 IC
- Slow deep squats x 10 IC
- Lunges x 10 each leg
At some point we dried off then ran back to the AO.
Recover, recover. Between the Standard and the main event, we ran ~3.9 miles according to Strava.
Moleskin:
- We prayed for Crab Legs who is having surgery today.
- This was not a hard workout, especially for a strong swimmer like Tantrum. Appreciate you playing along though bud.
- Thank you Jaws for the opportunity to lead. Really enjoyed the change-up in format and am looking forward to more Aqua Titan this summer!
