Invite a coworker, a family member, a guy from the neighborhood. This is a great opportunity to invite FNGs, especially guys who might not otherwise want to get up at 5:30am on a weekday to work out!!
Almost two years ago Ramrod invited YHC to a Saturday morning football game at BRP. Must have been about 40 guys out there. Jolly and Mr Burns were team captains if that says anything about how long ago it was. Mr. Burns won't even play now because he has a "50 miler" the next weekend. Weak sauce. Beetlejuice ran so hard his cleats fell apart on the field. Ok, so some things stay the same.
After the game Ramrod tried to sell YHC (unsuccesssfully at the time) on doing a Heavy. Then El Chapo tried to sell YHC (unsuccessfully at the time) on BRR. YHC was sold on F3 though. I knew there must be something special going on to get that many guys together for a pickup football game on a Saturday morning.
Moral of the story: Play the long game, invite a friend to play some football. Maybe that friend has never been to F3 or maybe he is a Kotter, but not many other activities can bring guys together like a game of football. Aye!
