As I pulled up to Main St. I was surprised by the number of cars parked on both sides. There were too many bikers and they took all the "good spots". Clearly, they're arriving early since they need extra time to get ready. Who else do we hear that from? Until I get the opportunity to talk with the Davidson commissioners about securing priority parking for the OTB runners, us runners are going to have to show up a little earlier. Look on the bright side, we can laugh at all the primping the bike riders do before they can ride!
6 ran the planned OTB route and 3 Goat Busters ran 6-8 miles. Then later 3 more ran Teeter to Teeter.
All this happened while a LOT of guys rode their bikes.
MOLESKIN:
Yes, I do enjoy making fun of the cyclists and am responsible for the friendly battle that goes on between the runners and the cyclists each week. But, it was pretty awesome seeing so many guys on Main St. yesterday morning getting ready to go for a run or a ride and then gathering behind Summit for some solid 2ndF.
If you're new to riding or running, show up on Sunday around 0630 (0615 if you're a runner and want a prime parking spot) they cyclists have three different groups which accommodate all riding levels. If you're there to run, you can find someone who will happily run your distance and pace.
AYE!
