The plan called for a lot of laps at tempo.  YHC being the benevolent dictator I am, decided to break the laps up as such:

O530 hit the track

1/2 mile warm up

SSHx10ic

ISTx10ic

Windmillx10ic

1 mile tempo.  Start in a lane and go one lane wider each lap

400 recovery

800 tempo

400 recovery

800 tempo

1 mile temp.  Start in a lane and go one lane wider each lap

then COT happened

Concentric moleskin:

  • Turnpike first brought the concept of moving out a lap but keeping (or bettering) your pace each lap.  It’s subtle but the extra distance pays dividends.
  • Drebin has two paces:  tempo (which encompasses anything from 100 meters to 1 mile which are all the same pace) and mosey (which is a normal human pace when he wants some fellowship).
  • This Chilly Willy ain’t this spring’s Chilly Willy.  Dude is getting after it.
  • Good to have Jenny back out at Luda.  This AO allows you to keep both socks on.  (you know what I mean Jenny).
  • Jaws needs Tuna runners.  Seriously join him if you can.  He captained an amazing experience last year.  You’ll be rewarded by a musical selection that is down right euphoric.
  • Overdraft has upgraded and left Snake Eyes behind 🙂
  • What I learned today:  Beave.  Am I right.  What a freaking dude.  The thing I like about Beave is every time in namorama I am reminded that if I start now, I got 12 years to be like him today.  IF.  Big IF.  My IF has yet to turn into anything tangible.  Beave is not an IF guy.  He is a DO guy.  Watch his routine when he first shows up.  He is disciplined, he is determined, he is calculated.  He is a 58 year old machine with an awesome heart.  So be a Beave.  Do your thing.  Do it well.  Don’t show off.  Just be you, the right way, and others will look at you and say “I want to be like you.”
