6 pax shrugged at the 30s temps and threat of freezing precipitation, trading the fartsack for the wet track at Bailey Road Park to get in their weekly speed work.
Some pax were running mixed intervals – 400 / 800 / 1200 / 1600 / 1200 / 800 – at 5k pace while others were running 4 x 1.5mi at MP-10 sec. Turnpike was clicking off laps at recovery pace, but still ended up with 6 miles.
NMM:
- The pax were fast today. Multiple pax had Strava PRs, including LittleFinger who laid down a 6:33 mile and The Count, who had 1/2 mi, 1 mi, and 2 mi PRs. YHC felt good and yet still couldn't hang with Beetlejuice, who was cruising at a sub-6 pace all morning. PrimeTime stated at the outset that he would be hanging at his MP minus 10 secs, but then ended up flying around the track much faster than that. Great work all around.
