7 Pax showed up ready at #TheGeneral this morning. Here’s the ball friendly summary:
Welcome/Disclaimer
Warmarama at base/checkpoint:
-SSH x50 (100) Yes!
-Slow Windmill x10
-Lil Professor/Long Snapper/Dwight Schrute/Slippery Dip Can/Soap Locator/d Carrot Pullers x10
After a week of doing a lot of Threesomes, YHC had to bring something else today. Therefore, we moseyed to the rock pile, grabbed one, and then did a Zamperini back to base.
The Thang:
Two buckets were placed 40 yards apart. One at base was empty, and the other was full of 40 tennis balls (2 balls of 20 various beat downs written on them). The goal was to transfer as many possible back to the empty bucket at base before recover, recover. The entire Pax would run from the empty bucket at base to the full one at the 40 yard line. One Pax would grab a ball and all Pax would sprint back to base and drop it in the empty bucket. Before running again, all Pax would do the exercise and # of reps listed on the ball.
Fate drew the following:
-20 chest press x2
-20 WW II’s
-10 reverse lunges with rock x2
-20 Mtn Climbers x2
-20 low flutters x2
-20 curls x2
-20 skull crushers
-20 Freddy Mercury’s x2
-10 squat jump x2
-20 plank jacks x2
-20 overhead press
-20 inchworms x2
-20 chest press
-20 ‘Mericans
-20 LBC’s
-40 calf raises
-1 island lap x2
-20 MH’s x2
A total of 500 reps and A LOT OF RUNNING occurred in between (25 laps down and back to be exact). We modified midway through for 3 rounds (for a half-time break) and enjoyed planking for 3 rounds while one Pax ran to grab a ball to let everyone catch their breath-then we were back at it again (otherwise, it would’ve been 28 laps).
The Pax had a total of 12 balls remaining. The only two exercises not drawn at least once were burpees and pickle pounders. YHC had planned to have burpee penalties for each ball remaining, but time expired (insert sad emoji here) #gloom.

Moleskin:
We all enjoyed playing with, and grabbing, our balls. Deep Dish reminded YHC that The General was a bootcamp, not a running AO. We also talked about the glory days of being on the line in football games (linemen never get their proper dues) and how the pads and cups are much different today than during our prime. It was good seeing Little Professor home for his weekend break from college. Omega was not wearing his belt today during our bootcamp. For the record, Airstream wants everyone to know that his F3 name is not Air Fryer, so stop calling him that. Roadie marveled at the accuracy depicted in his renewed binge watching of The Soprano’s from his home town area for which landmarks are frequently referenced. Greyhound and Airstream reminded us all to think about the importance of Good Friday, the sacrifice that was made/given, and to make the best of it.
Proud of all of you gents for your effort today! You ran, and ran, and ran, and ran…

Great Q Toby. Happy Easter.
Back at you brother. It was great posting with you in the gloom!
Next time Toby or Omega should ride up on a donkey and have the other PAX wave palms ( Biblical reference, had to get this in on Good Friday)
