Becoming Better Runners at IsotopeOG

Event Date

Mar 04, 2017

AO

6 men posted on a chilly morning with many resons to keep them from the AO… a hangover from the previous night's roast, a Mens conference, the love sack or the fart sack. All chose to not use an excuse but instead work to become better runners. FNG, Bruce Hurley, now known as Jersey Boy was also present.

In an effort to maintain the accuracy of this backblast from the non-existent weinke, I will simply tell you we worked out and counted in cadence many times. The workout contained ~4mi of running, a Gnarly Goat led co-Q with rocks, a scenic view of the woods and one of Kid Rock's favorite running improvement excersises… the bear crawl. The bear crawl across the basketball courts were a crowd favorite but YHC had a purpose. That purpose was to improve every man out there as a runner and it damn sure showed results. Kid Rock and Metallica went flying up the final hill like men half their age.

We finished the workout with a good Mary that included some stretching, abs and mumblechatter then closed with COT.

Please congratulate Kid Rock and his wife for tag teaming a small group with another couple. Um!?!? All kidding aside, that is great leadership.

Awesome to see Jersey Boy come back for his second post. The dude is a solid RESPECT and already seems to enjoy running a lot. It is a shame that Moses decided not to post for his naming ceremony.

It is hard to believe that Metallica had surgery just a short time ago to repair a bum achilles. Despite his talk of struggling to get back into "running shape" he is one strong mother trucker!

Always enjoy seeing the gnarliest of Goats out at BRP. Also enjoy his awesome stories, mumblechatter and counting. Thanks for the great idea regarding rock work. I had to adjust my completely planned out workout to accomodate but I guess it was okay.

I think Catfish had the time appropriate "TWSS" for the morning. Always encouraging to know the PAX are still ready to pounce with that response when presented the opportunity. Strong work all the way through as always.

It is never easy for YHC to get up in the morning, but knowing the push the other men of F3 are willing to provide and the fellowship that comes along with every post it sure is worthwhile. Thanks GG for taking us out this morning and thanks to all the men of F3 for continuing to make this fitness thing special.
