18 Pax plus one dog took over Hugh Torance Pkwy, Stumptown Rd and Northcross Dr for varying distances of up to 5 miles. It was great to see some guys that we don’t typically see at Fartlek, including Free Pass, Kosar, Tantrum and Ichabod posting Fartlek for the first time.
Kumquat led the pack, despite having trekked up and down Grandfather mountain on Saturday; that guy might be part cyborg. Strong showing by Ichabod who was not far behind. Frogger put on a strong push to the front before his turn two miles out. Impressive work by Hippie, who made the turn at Sam Furr and then found another gear that he road to the finish; you’re lo0king strong for the triathlon, brother.
Was it the pb that drew the crowd? The great weather? Or the big, upcoming challenges that many PAX are taking on such as the Kiawah Triathon and Blue Ridge Relay? Maybe all of the above, but whatever their reason for showing, each of the Pax put in a strong effort and pushed and pulled one another. Great work men!
Freedom and T-Bone joined us for COT.
