Did you ever sit at the 131 Main parking lot by yourself at 5:20 for about 5 minutes wondering if you did something wrong? It’s a unique feeling. Luckily, I remembered that Twitter exists and discovered the change in our AO.
BETTER LATE THAN NEVER
At 0530 we assembled in the parking lot and in one groan began our wonderful 45 minute Run Around Washam.
- SSH * 16 (ah, tradition)
- Cotton Pickers * 8
- IST * 16
- Merkins * 8, Dry Docks *8, then repeat.
- Ready to run
The Pax started out quite jovial, in good spirits and boisterous for the gloom. Refreshing to say the least.
- Running and pain stations, too numerous to count, around JV Washam and into the gloom on Washam-Potts road.
- Original thought was to go back to 131 Main to workout but Waffle talked some sense into the Q and decided to take the high road back to the school.
- More running and stations, Merkins and Dry Docks *8
- Running and LBC’s * 16.
- Soprano even asked if I was training for the BRR, go figure.
- A little bit of step ups 16 each leg and Pull Ups * 8 with Merkins between * 8
- Next, an Indian run, again around JV Washam and the groans actually stopped as everyone realized the end was near.
- In the final stretch there was an attempt at LBC’s and Merkins * 8 each with a Vern-like run between them across the parking lot.
- Lastly, a nice stretch and 8 final Merkins to be sure.
Joviality everywhere
- In true old school fashion, there was almost a yawn when I did lead off with SSH.
- Kid Rock had the line of the morning which won’t be repeated. Suffice it to say, someone’s admin is extremely valuable to their organization.
- Prayers for Kingfish and Boar Hog who are both dealing with the recent passing of their respective mothers. Prayers for Holiday's family as his FIL ended his suffering with cancer. Please keep them in your prayers.
