The fun is definitely back at The Estate.  The clown car from Birkdale has been a big part of the high numbers we have been seeing.  Magnus, Smash, Binary, Eeyore, Dry Rub and Tiramisu are establishing themselves as part of the rich history of the 3+ years of the Estate AO and I'm looking forward to what the rest of the year will bring.  It's always good to bring new guys and new ideas to the pax and they have done that!

We had an FNG today, Nate.  Dry Rub knew him and he and 9 Lives made sure Nate pushed through the entire workout – nice work gentlemen!

The Estate is now a great mix of the old and new guys and there is never a shortage of mumble chatter.  This was a smoker of a workout so I'll list what I can remember in no particular order:

  • Blackbeard drove in late and thought he would get away with no bricks but YHC went back to the car to get them for him.  You're welcome Blackbeard.
  • The Force thought that when I called out Dry Rub to lead an exercise that I was announcing a new exercise.  He was very concerned and was scared it was to be done in cadence.  That was an uncomfortable moment but we cleared it up quickly.
  • Tantrum stole bricks every time after the lap just for a little fun.  No shock there.  Just ask Herschel (if you went to the Knights baseball game last year, you would understand – Herschel was the outfielder for the opposing team)
  • heck,  I started writing this on Sunday after The Estate because I was following the HTL on Twitter so I've lost all memory of any other interesting facts about the workout other than:
  1. it was hard
  2. that's why pax keep coming
  3. coffeteria afterwards was awesome as always – Blackbeard had the quote of the morning at NY Bagel when asked if he was going to do some workout.  It may have gone somthing like this:

Blackeard: "I'm tapering"

YHC: "For what?"

Backbeard: "I'm always tapering.  I want to be ready for anything."

  • Burgoo has the Q next week – make it difficult brother!

Respecfully submitted,

Professor
