YHC ran the trails at 0500. The pax were waiting for the Q who emerged sweaty and huffing. Quick water break. Wait for 0530. Launch with disclaimer on-the-go. This is where we lost Canuck.

The Thang
Run back and forth on the soccer field between two goals. Do Merkins at each end, runs get progressively faster, ending with a sprint. 100 merkins completed.
Next – baby crawl the length of the field. Run back to the starting point. Spiderman crawl for a while. Flip on your back for Low Flutter x 20 IC to get everyone all wet. Broad jumps to the goal. Bear crawl for 90 seconds. Recovery lap and mosey to the tennis court for…
JUMP SQUAT SUICIDES
- Run to each line on the court and add 1 jump squat every time you go back to the start. Ended up being 105 jump squats!
Mosey back to launch.
Mary
No time.
The Moleskine
- Canuck moseyed with us and then he went to do Canuck things. No COT attendance = no credit
- Chilly Willy wants to run a marathon. YHC did his best to convince him that long runs are terrible but he’s got the itch. Don’t tell Enron or he’ll be running the Fonta Flora 50K.
- Possum is way too fast for a guys in his 50s.
- Airstream is way too fit for a guy who is 60.
- Jersey Boy is always the best pax to have at a workout. Has the right amount of mumblechatter and always puts in the work. Plus he’s a great guy to have around when you have an FNG around.
- We had an FNG! It was Leo’s 2nd post and he got named today. He shall forever be known as Iceberg. It was a hard workout but he crushed it. Hope to see him out some more
If you haven’t Q’d Viking in a while (like YHC), sign up and do it. You got fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, benches, rocks, baseball diamonds, and some decent hills. Chilly Willy needs Qs!
Thanks for those who came out this morning. It certainly never gets easier, but you do get stronger. Until next time – CB
Cherry Bomb, great having you lead this morning! That was an awesome beatdown – extremely challenging. Especially thankful for throwing in the bear-crawls on the field. Been focused more and more lately on functional fitness (exercises which provide benefits to everyday movements as I get older, whether it’s carrying bags of mulch from my driveway to the backyard, or rolling around on the ground with my grandson)
Thanks for challenging us this morning by setting the bar high!
All goals accomplished; run……check; crawl…….check; get wet……..very……check.
Nice Q!
I got a solid 2 miles in with plenty of merkins, praying mantis, squats and lbc’s and a solid round of BLMFers. No need to wallow in the mud for me. Didn’t expect to be included in the BB.
All good.
No ant bites, so I can’t complain. We left in better shape than we arrived, so that’s a win for everyone! Iceberg completed his second ass-kicking workout with panache! I’m actually surprised he came back after Saturday. He’ll be at Fission on Thursday, so come out to support him. Thanks for the awesome Q, Cherry Bomb!
