13 of LKN’s finest gathered this morning. We missed Outlaw and wish him a strong, speedy recovery.
After a brief parking lot mosey we circled up to warm up a bit, including some SSH, IST, Windmill, Slow Squats, plank jacks and a few slow ‘Mericans.
After Axel tried to get run over by the Yoga lady we dispensed with the ‘Mericans and sought safer ground.
Making our way across Jetton we found a little knoll that was crying out for some backward climbing, so we obliged. We performed one Jacob’s ladder, climbing backward to the top, 7 burpees, forward down to 10 ‘Mericans and 10 Alternating LBCs. 6,5,4,3,2,1 while keeping the 10 count at the bottom.
This task completed, we got a little closer together and introduced (or re-introduced) the Cacka-lacka-choo-choo, a true blast from the past, no doubt. We did 2 rounds of this and then ventured back to the site of Axel’s near demise.
We each grabbed a partner for one round of Dora: Instead of running, we were to broad jump across the parking lot and run back. The other partner stayed for 100 curb ‘Mericans, 200 squats and 300 alternating LBCs. Of course we swapped off at each return run.
We finished the Slow ‘Mericans that were so rudely interrupted previously, then went back to our parking area for MARY:
Dying Cockroach, Touch ‘dem heels, Jackknife LBC and a plank for 30 seconds to finish.
Summary:
- It turned out to be a nice, relatively warm, morning. Too warm for pants, just ask Hat Trick.
- That Yoga lady really wasn’t gonna stop! Sorry for putting some pax in danger, but so glad we had a disclaimer to absolve all possibility of blame being laid.
- Also sorry for the muddy hands for those bare-handed gents. Who knew the ground would be bare and wet? Has it rained here recently? (insert eye roll here)
- Since Outlaw was not present, YHC called an audible no one knew about and went with the burpees at the knoll. Had Outlaw been present we would have subbed in something else. His disdain for burpees played a part in plan-making. That should not happen!
- Prayers up for Scrappy and his family and for a solid recovery for Outlaw.
- Thanks for posting, guys.
