Cards & Cardio

Event Date

Jun 18, 2018

10 Brave PAX came out to test their luck at The Sword and start their week out right. (note:  Headlock and Razor were also present, couldn't add them above for some reason, can someone please assist?)

WARM-O-RAMA

Short mosey snaking around the parking lot, working in karioki, high knees, butt kickers and quadraphelia.  Also gave Caboose some time to warm up is complaint game (which was on point).

Circle up for Disclaimer (no FNGs), SSH, Windmills, ISTs, ArmCircles (large/small, front/back), and of course cotton pickers/carrot pullers.

THE THANG

Grabbed some cinderblocks and lined up on north side of the parking lot, and let the games begun.  PAX took turns drawing cards from two decks.  The first deck represented the excercises, the second represented the runs.
Excercises: A- ’Mericans (inclined & declined on blocks), K-Krushers (skull crushers), Q- Curls for the girls, J- Pullups, 10- Thrusters, 9-Lunges, 8- Dips, Joker – PAX's Choice
Runs- A-5 representing the first through 5th parking isles. Joker- PAX's coice.

Two Excersizes + 1 run, repeat 6-7 times.  Finished off with 4 excercises, put blocks back and mosey over to wall/benches.

Peoples Chair + heel touches; more Dips (on benches this time); People’s Chair + Air Press; Inclined ‘Mericans on benches.

MARY

Circled up with 10 min left for some nice light Mary (or so we thought).

Started out well enough with some box leg lifts curtesy of Caboose, then YHC made the mistake of giving the reigns over to Bam Bam and shortly thereafter we’re grinding our way through some burpee shuttle runs across the 5 parking islands (burpee each time you cross the grass).  All surviving PAX circled up for some “Static Flexibility Excercises” (definitely not stretching), then Over Budget took the reigns for some low flutters…and some more low flutters….and then some more low flutters (50 count total!).

MOLESKIN

It was a great day all around and a great start to the week. All the PAX gritted it out and worked hard, and thanks to Bam Bam and Over Budget for pushing us that little bit extra!   We will be keeping Headlock’s Father in our prayers as he works through his cancer treatment, as well as a few banged up PAX we hope can return to action soon.
