Catch 22 at the General

It seemed that number 22 was the number of the day, There was much discussion about, “why 22?” amongst the PAX concerning the Q’s selection of the number 22 for exercises.

Did it have something to do with the Astrological Chart as I believe Holiday suggesting with some deep thought which I didn’t quite get due to lack of oxygen to my brain? Was it chosen because the exercises of the day created conflicts that resulted in additional conflict (Catch 22)? Was it because F3 Commando just turned 20 and his favorite number is two? Was it becasue we had 22 PAX?

All of these are true statements, but Moses hit the nail on the head. “It is just a random number that popped into the Q’s noggin”

So, with that cleared up, 22 PAX and a puppy hit the General for some Pipes, Coffee and Buckets of Joy. Their adventure unfolds below.

Warm-a-rama

Mosey around the parking lot

SSHx25, Windmillx10, Imperial Storm Troopersx10, Moroccan Night Clubsx50, ‘Mericansx10, and Carrot Pullersx10

I channeled my inner Jersey Boy to create a Bruce Lee Inspired Exercise – The BurpLee – Normal Burpee, but instead of jumping you perform a three punch combo with a front kick ending with an optional hand movement and a whaaaaaaaa!

I was most impressed with Hippie’s Whaaaaaaaa! He would strike fear in the heart of any Ninja Master with his conviction.

The Thang

Count off by Threes Performing the below exercises in sets of 22 until or until relieved by another group (Rotating to each station throughout)

Group 1 (Runners)

Run x10 Burpees

Run x 22 ‘Mericans

Run x 22 LBCs

Group 2 (Bucket heads)

40 x Bucket Press

40 x Upright Row

40 x Deadlift

Group 3 (Pipers)

40 x Curls

40 x Skull Crushers

40 x Squats

At some point all of the exercises switched to 22, so the Q just went with it and chalked it up to poor leadership and communication on his part.

Then off to the playground for rotating sets of x10 Pullups, x20 Dips, and x20 Australian Pull Ups. With a repeato where group 3 went rouge. I don’t want to point fingers, but I think Oyster pulled an audible.  Being well out ranked, the Q again chalked it up to poor leadership and communication on his part and just went with the flow.

Then we squared it up (or poor quality circle) for a 5 count ‘Merican Time Bomb. Thank you Omega for bringing along Baily, he was very helpful in wiping the sweat from my eyes during this exercise.

Mary –

Low Flutter, Rosaletta, WWII Sit Ups, Pretzel Crunch and Thank you Primo for taking us out with an entertaining Homer to Marge

Closing Prayer: Thank you Lord for giving us the strength to get up every morning to come together and to serve you. Please lift up Moses’ friend’s family in their time of need. Raise up those in need and help our F3 brothers, families and friends. Support those who serve our country through military service, police, fire fighters, sanitation (as long as they don’t run over our prayer circle as almost happened today) and other services that keep us safe. Please give us the strength to use our gifts to give back to others and service in your name. Amen

Thank you Atlas for the bear hug, I think you realigned my back. You may want to consider chiropractor as a trade.

Thank you Magnus for allowing me to lead the PAX at the General. Great AO and some great PAX.
