19 of LKNs toughest gathered to honor our veterans for Chad1000X at Dragon Slayer. Chad1000x is a workout dedicated to Chad Wilkinson, a special forces operator who took his own life after suffering trauma from multiple deployments and repetitive training exercises.
Warmorama: quick mosey, SSH, IST, Windmill and Slippery Dip Cans.
The Thang: 1000 20"(ish) step ups slick or with weight. Start at 0505, you're done when you get to 1000
Mary: Low Flutters, Mason Twists, WWII, Elbow Plank
Moleskin: This was a tough workout, but I found myself just saying, 'One more step…one more step…one more step', it brought me back to some challenging situations (physically and otherwise) that I have found myself in where I had told myself the same thing. The reality is that 50 minutes of step ups onto a wall shouldn't even be considered a comparison to the suffering that our veterans face while active duty and after the battles are over. That became all too real when hearing the news about our own F3 LKN Pax, Chicken Little, taking his own life the same day as this beatdown. I didn't know Chicken Little, but my heart breaks for him and his family.
Guys, I'm begging you, if you are reading this…stop right now and reach out to someone who you haven't heard from. If they are a veteran, even better, but the reality is that EVERYONE is going through something and we can either be sad about it, or do something about it. After all that is what F3 is all about, don't forget, re-invigorating male community leadership. Yes, I'm talking to you!
