Circle The Wagons

Event Date

Oct 17, 2018

What looked like it might become a rainy morning, was actually perfect weather!  Thanks to the 7 men who joined me this morning for a total of 8 PAX.  And to the Sherriff's Department for working around us during their SWAT drill at the high school this morning!

I was aiming for a 45 min sustained cardio workout that included stretching, arms, legs, and abs.  Rumor has it that it worked out pretty well.  Tried to maximize opportunity for mumblechatter today by keeping a tight group; however, after about 5 minutes the chatter died down and stayed pretty quite.  I don't know if that is due to the early morning hours, or the pace of the workout.  I like to think it was due to the workout 😉

No Props, No Tokens, No man left behind!  How hard can that be?  Let's Circle up and find out!

Circle the wagons – means we go to our right until we get back to our current spot in the circle.

Reflection

Circling the wagons comes from times of attack, when the wagons were circled for protection.

We circle up in fellowship, but all our lives come under attack in one way or another.

As a circle we are one.

If one of us is under attack, let all of us provide strength and courage, and remind each other that God is still with us even in hard times.

Deuteronomy 31:66 says:

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Prayers went out for Safety, Health, Employment, Courage and Strength!

Always enjoy the opportunity to Q.  Thanks fellas!
