Circus Maximus


Today 8 men were introduced to the lates #WIB to come to #Gladiator, #CircusMaximus.  Known throughout history as yet another #Arena where men came to battle, serve, and die the Circus Maximus was one of the largest and most challeging venues every constructed.  Survive did we, YES

Warm-O-Rama

  • SSH x 50
  • Dynamic Stretching

#CircusMaximus

  • Beginning with the larger portion of the St. Mark parking lot (that furthest from the school) we placed our cinder blocks
  • CB swings x 10
  • Mosey to last lane of parking lot
  • 3 Burpees
  • Mosey to top corner of parking lot
  • 10 'mericans
  • Mosey to pull-up bars
  • Pull-up hold (hold chin above bar) until failure
  • Mosey to cinder blocks
  • We did a repeato of the above, shaving off one lane after each loop AND adding 3 burpees.
  • Final Tally
    • 60 CB swings
    • 63 burpees
    • 60 'mericans
  • With time to spare, we decided to get a little chest work in an effort to combat #SoccerArms
    • Chest Press x 10 (IC)
    • Tricep pullover x 10 (IC)
    • Decline 'merican (feet on cinder block) x 10 (IC)
    • Decline chest press (shoulders on the #BigBall, hips elevated) x 10 x 2 (IC)

Mary

  • Very little left in the tank, but we managed a good 7 minutes of Mary
    • Low flutter x 25
    • Mason twist x 10
    • WW2 x 10
    • Dynamic Stretching
  1. Solid work by all, it was hot and muggy and we didn't stop moving for 45 minutes.
  2. Always a pleasure to lead these men and start the day off right!
  3. Safe to say #CircusMaximus is here to stay, but YHC needs to audible up the CB swings and the 'mericans next time.
