Clarks last Murph as a HATE

Event Date

Jul 29, 2019

5, why so few?? Posted this AM for #TheMurph. Perhaps because it was pre-blasted on Saturday and it scared a few PAX away. Not really sure why. Perhaps PAX want to run faster and feel that bigger arms :bicep: , a chiseled back, and rock-hard :aw-yeah: pecs might slow them down. Perhaps PAX are hearing that women find the dad bod kinda sexy. As with any workout routine it does have side effects. And if P-90X and Insanity taught us anything in the last 10 years is that some of these side effects can be: improved lighting, better posture, a darker tan, a smile, and oily shiny skin.

As YHC is on the home stretch to the big 4-0 I am reminded that going from ~15-16 miles per week to 26 might have been too much for my right anterior tibial tendon. It yelled at me this morning.

We were missing some of the usual mumble chatterers this morning. Elk Knob got in his 1st Murph. Mater is doing his lightest Murph. He also broke loose on the 1st mile refusing to let YHC catch him at the end. When asked if the workout got any easier from his recent drop in weight, his answer was NO. That is right and that's how it's supposed to work. P-funk posted despite hearing that today was Murph. P-Funk notes that jumping pull-ups are much easier than regular pull-ups. Diesel maintained his typical focused workout by barely speaking. This focus led to destroying the 2nd mile.

In the end… 1 mile run. 100 pull-ups, 200 'mericans, 300 squats and another mile run.

Free sweaty ball of man at the end (That sounds doubly gross)

Reflection
1 John 1:9

If we freely admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness.
