3 PAX showed up at Mustang for a cold and rainy early start to the day. Spork was supposed to show – but he was using an FIA rule of no exercising in the rain(?). Hefty would have been there, but he was busy stepping up as Q for SVU. Mulligan was supposed to be there but he was too exhausted from trying to figure out who was going to Q at SVU. Sonar never really contemplated showing up but had a good laugh at the use of "quick" and "4 miles" in connection with "sonar." Mater was steadfastly committed to posting to SVU, regardless of the absent Q status – but grabbed a couple miles in advance of the SVU drama (#Materstronglikebull).
There is some debate whether a run counts for a backblast – but there is significance to this event in the return of Clubber – something to celebrate and officially document (and Clark and YHC were fortunate to witness). Note: i'm having fun here at Clubber's expense but with a supportive spirit.
YHC suggested a wet and soggy path thru Trilogy – Clark actually said, "you're the boss" (quite a statement coming from the Master Q) – so we were off at a reasonable mosey. About a mile into it – Clubber decides he doesn't like YHC's route and makes his own, so Clark and YHC followed… then led… then followed… then led…
As we headed back to AO, YHC thought it would be a good idea to swing BY Clubber's house as a way to stretch the effort to a full 4 miles and provide a parade of dad's effort to his 2.0s. Clubber heard "let's go TO Clubber's house" thinking he was going to get dropped off. There was much consternation when he realized that wasn't the case. Many chuckles for Clark and YHC.
In the end – we got 4 miles of elevated heart rate, had great conversation (some thru heavy breathing), hit on all 3 Fs at one time and were thankful that it was really only misting vs. a hard rain. YHC's favorite quotes from the run:Clubber – my knees are killing me / Clark – too much time praying? / Clubber – not enough! That's the kind of dialogue you get with F3. It makes us awesome and YHC very thankful for being able to be a part of this thing.
