Co-Qs for a Mystery Route at Fartlek

FNG-1 = PushPop (how is this guy not registered yet?  Even I’ve seen him at several running AOs now)

Back pain + heavy rain forecast + no Q signed up on the calendar + PB / Tammy Faye and YHC HCing to each other the night before for accountability = a spontaneous co-Q w/ The Force and Tammy Faye

That was the magic formula for TF and TF taking the co-Q at 9PM the night before.  The master “plan” would become YHC Qs the 1st mile, hands it over to TF, then TF hands it over to TF after another mile, then after another mile TF would hand it back to TF again then finally TF back to TF for a strong finish.

So the riddle is…  Who Q’ed the last 0.3 miles to the finish?

The route was up Hugh T pkwy, around and up Hardcore Hill, back down to the traffic circle, up Stumptown til the left into the back/dark entrance to Macauley/Birkdale, through Bdale, through Macauley, eventually back to Queens Corner, through that intersection around behind the clubhouse to Wynfiled Crk Pkwy, away from the clubhouse all the way to the stop sign, turn back to the clubhouse, taken another turn to enter the AO from the back door.  In total that came to around 4.25 miles.

YHC didn’t get the antique Garmin functioning until the 2nd mile, so the last 2ish miles as we approached the 6:15 mark YHC was quite disappointed that it appeared we would only get a 5K in.  The pax corrected me which was quite pleasing when YHC figured out what caused the error.

Prayers continue for our brothers who have recently lost loved ones as they look for peace, companionship, comfort and a new norm without them, although their spirits certainly live on.

Toby has been tweeting out where there are numerous AOs without Qs signed up.  Let’s not do that to the MQs nor to the rest of the pax.  If everyone steps up and grabs just one Q the rest of this month they’ll all be full and will probably spill into June.  It’s that easy and simple and only makes us a stronger region.

PS.  Please sign up for Samson first.  🙂
