Confessions on the plank


9 Pax (plus a Roadie for 3rd F) posted to Berean knowing we had long overdue re-Q for YHC.  So they either knew it would be easy, they just wanted to trip up the Q, or whoknowswhat — but they accomplished something.  Here is how it kinda-sorta-to-the-best-of-my-recollection-but-don't-quote-me-on-it-perhaps-well-yeah-lets-go-with-it went down…..

Warmorama

  • Before the first exercise Ultraman, (self-claiming the role of co-Q???) said he wanted some down dog and pigeon.  I am to please so let's stetch it out.
  • Then we mosey for some standard Warmorama fair such as the obligatory SSHx15ic, Windmill x10ic, IST x15ic, 'merican x10ic.   
  • Elbow plan for a brief explanation that we will be sharpening some iron during this workout with "confessions on the plank.

The thang

  • Mosey to the lot behind WhichWhich as it was deemed safer and partner up
  • P1 = iversons, P2 jog to end of lot and quadrafeelia back — flapjack — repeato x3
  • Elbow plank for first confession session
  • P1 = 'mericans, P2 bear crawl to end of lot and mosey back — flapjack — repeato x3
    • Q Audible the 'mericans to pillow talk.  Having not Q'd in a while I made the bush-league move of coupling 'mericans and bear crawls as if they were complimentary
  • Elbow plank for second confession session
  • P1 = LBCs i think, P2 kareoka to end of lot and back — flapjack — repeato x3
  • Elbow plank for third confession session
  • Mosey to dry fountain in front of theater
  • Dips x15ic
  • Leg ups x10 each leg
  • Derkins x10ic
  • Mosey to dry cover of oak trees for some pax led stretching.
  • Forward bend and Down dog pigeon combo (Ultraman), various flamingo stretches (Die Hard), more pigeon (Carpetbagger)

  • Prayers for Frogger's wife.
  • Prayers for Ultraman's mother-in-law as well as he and his wife supporting
  • God's providence, even with the rain!

This mole is getting skinned

  • Remember that feeling when you first Q'd and you didn't think you could do it.  Well take a couple years off and the bubble-guts start rising back up.  Thank you to Gnarly Goat for the encouragement and opportunity to Q again!
  • Speaking of Goat.  When you've given your life to service to country and community, then retire, your lifegoals change……he is now training to be a boxing Ring Girl.  (show to know)
  • Crocs replied to the preblast with a gif plainly stating there will be mumble chatter.  Oh and he brought it with wreckless refusnik abandon.
  • Tclaps to the gents that ran MBM and posted today — and forced a lot of unplanned stretching.
  • Of course because I said we were in a safe spot to plank while I explained the workout, Murphy (of the Law fame) decided to have a random car come in at 0533 for their 0900 shift at Dick's and pull right down our path.
  • Thanks for humoring me with "confessions on the plank".  While slowly conquering some health issues for two years I have primarily only been able to do 3rd F.  It has been great for me.  It has expanded me and I have grown grately from it.  So now that I am posting and Q-ing I wanted to do something to incorporate that 3rd F for those who can only make the bootcamp portion and some Iron-Sharpens-Iron aspect into the workout. Today's confession:  we all have goals/resolutions with which we never set out to neglect/fail, but guess what…..we do.  So while periodically planking between workout sets, let's confess it, discuss it, and overcome it together. AYE!
  • That fueled us right in to coffeeteria 3rd F.  Great lead by me *wink*……to get out of the way and let Carpetbagger guide us through it.  Honestly, his investment into me and many others was a big part of my inspiration for this "confessions on the plank" workout.
