Cowboy UP

Event Date

A hearty crew gathered at Bojangles joint where the sidewalk starts…this is the story of how four desperados became Cowboys…

Its actually nothing like that.   Four Pax met at Cowboy.  The ordering process is efficient and then you are waited on at the table from there.

The Thang

After a slow mosey to the outside deck and putting down the umbrellas safely,  we were served by at least 20 waiters and waitresses.

Skipper took down the Tacos. Roadie has the mixed lean brisket sandwich. I killed a half chicken and salad.  Mini need to share what he had.

The Nekked Man Moleskin

The prices at Cowboy are a shade high compared to our normal fare.  Lunches went from $14 to $20 with tip.  Know your options. Its a good place to enjoy on a gourgeous day.   The deck was nice, the servers were a shade overanxious, but the place smelled delisious.   No one partook in the beer/wine options.

Apparently our rebuff of the Race City offer to join on Burrito Loco was problematic, OR the locals decided to show every inch of their under powered 6- cyliner cars as the deck was getting buzzed by loud cars for the entire meal.  Either way, apparently Statesville is the road to shake your money maker.

Did that stop our intrepid Pax from powering down proteins?  Not at all.   We also covered a lot of conversations.

Here is what we learned:

  1. Mini is getting to be a better swimmer. He learned to press his chest into the water. We also found out that Mini knows his cars and mid-engine tell signs.
  2. Roadie learned the unwritten rule that when and F3 workout that has a name then that workout will suck.  Well played Burner saying that Sharknado would not suck.
  3. Skipper is now working at Ingersoll Rand in Davidson.  He's offering free air conditioners to anyone who works out in Denver for the next 8 hours (see website for complete details)
(Wait there is now website?   How can that be?   Anyway, you are screwed anyway.   He was just going to sell you a guaranteed maintenance plan anyway)
  4. NiteStick was just happy to be in the sun and out of the office before the lacrosse travel gets stupid for the next 96 hours.

All in all, Cowboy was enjoyable.   It deserves a spot in the occasional rotation. Until it happens again, peace out.
