The Thang – looked better on paper

There are 10 concrete balls in front of Grand Oak. YHC decided it would be a good idea to leapfrog the balls while completing increasing incline Merkins up to 10 & Plank while everyone finishes and mosey back to beginning

Repeato with Durkins up to 10 & Deep Squats while we wait 

 

Mosey to blocks the long way with a stop for Australian pull ups x 10 IC & repeato 

Mosey to blocks but first every Pax grab a basket ball & line up on the baseline to overhead throw against the fence -by throwing the ball hard enough against the fence you got some good rebound and the ball would bounce back to you x 15

Grab a block and circle up at the picnic table on the track (no idea why there was a table there)

Everyone place their blocks on the table 

10 front shoulder shrugs IC

10 rear shoulder shrugs IC

Attempted to do picnic table press but 7 blocks on the table made it exceedingly heavy 

Carry the table & blocks back to the other tables

Diehard & Knockout apparently share the same alarm clock as they both rolled in around 5:37 – better late than not showing.

Frogger told us stories about his recent interactions with the Knockout family S2K.

Brown Bag is out in the gloom again after 9 months and hasn’t missed a step. Congratulations again on the new child and sleep deprivation.

Funky Town has a great AO for anyone who hasn’t Q’ed here yet. 

Rocket ran a standard and reverse standard home post workout despite offers of a ride back.

Thanks to Die Hard and Toxic for the EH 5 years ago.  I was happy getting my weekly mileage in and going to the gym for my workouts.  Toxic let me know Die Hard was Q’ing for his anniversary and I had to come support him.  I agreed and was surprised to see a large group of men getting together at the ungodly hour of 5:10, at an even more ungodly temperature of 2 degrees outside.  These guys were crazy – I knew I would fit in.  The workout was hard, but I was used to hard workouts.  The difference maker was the mumble chatter, friendship, and the fun everyone was having despite the elements.  I was sold.  The next week I left the gym, and never looked back.  I moved all my workouts outside in the gloom with this great group of men.  I have met some great people and seen even greater feats of leadership and support for each other, our communities, and even communities hours away; all demonstrating Iron Sharpens Iron.  Aye!
