6 gathered for the weekly “warm-up workout”
After a quick tie-your-shoes stretch, we moseyed down to the theatre and back around toward launch to each grab a set of 4×8 brick pavers.
”What? Those little things?” Said Blackbeard. Yeah, those. Don’t put them down. At. All.
We took them back to the theatre and executed some curls, slow squats, ‘Mericans, donkey kicks, kick-backs, SINGLE-LEG squats, and maybe one or 2 others.
We then went up our favorite ramp and then down to the parking garage where we grabbed a partner. We alternated running around the interior perimeter while the other partner did curls, squats and The W.
Next we took another jog up the ramp, down the steps and then headed back the theatre for a few more exercises. (Probably some of those noted above)
Following this, all headed to the greenway hill and headed to the light at the head of the path. The next task: 7 ‘Mericans there, run to the base of the hill and go up to the top backward, complete 5 burpees at top (7 & 5). Repeat to the bottom and top: 6 & 5, 5 & 5, 4 & 5, 3 & 5, 2 & 5, 1 & 5.
We moseyed one last time to the theatre for alternating LBCs and then left our paver friends by their starting point.
Recover X 2
1. Thanks for joining today, gents.
2. No one complained until we were done. It’s a lot easier to run without pavers.
3. All exercises were “exterior” only. There were no posterior, anterior nor ulterior exercises performed today, no matter what others might say.
4. Prayers up for those ailing and struggling.
5. Thanks for taking us out, Oyster.
