9 men rose from the fartsacks this morning to recover from The Murph….or Dad's Camp….or yesterday in general. YHC was pleasantly surprised when I walked out the back door to see 7 cars in the parking lot. There must be some folks here for a run? Not at all, everyone ready for BBBroga. Elk Knob and Rebound were first timers, glad to have you out
We started with the standard warm up walk. Before we take it to the mat, hamstrings, quads, shoulders and hip flexors. Blood is flowing, down to the ground for a new #7 stretch to get the IT bands (a real crowd pleaser), back, glutes, and hamstrings. Finished up with the prop assisted hamstring stretch and 20 clam shells OYO each side..
MC
- Elk Knob gave us all a scare as we heard the whip of the theraband snap off his foot, but the young man had planned for the possibility and gotten out of the way to avoid the black eye, a veteran move
- Rebound & Hefty know better than using the therabands, smartly finding props in their trucks to eliminate the possiblity of the snap back injury, a crafty veteran move
- During the quad stretch Hefty suggests finding a fixed point 6 feet in front of you, to which Mater replies 'but that's Scope and he can't keep his balance'
- Spork at one point said 'this makes my butt hurt' – awkward silence for a moment then the jokes started flying
- Marker may be the most flexible out of all of us, he is quiet and focused, a master of Zen
- FNG 1 is Bowser, just got himself a new job and is ready to start a new career, prayers for him in passing the state insurance exam.
- Scope discussing the pros and cons of having a 12 year old (Dabo Bunny) who is starting to get a taste for steak – Scope gets to eat steak more often, but DB's preference is filet
- Mater attempts to EH a neighbor who has walked past us every day we've been out there. Seemed like there was a legit shot at him joining us, then we realized we're mid-butterfly, so he's probably going to change his route.
Pleasure to lead, see you out there Thursday!
