Your Monday edition of IPC took place tantalizingly close to Fireball. It was appropriate because both were running workouts.
I’m not going to write out the workout, just read it here: https://f3greenwood.wordpress.com/2023/09/10/bde-mile-ipc-2023-week-2/
Week 1 was too complicated. This week was too boring. The IPC volunteers just can’t seem to make everybody happy. But I guess that’s the price of stepping up to lead sometimes. Complaining about an IPC workout is like getting an all expenses paid vacation to Hilton Head and complaining that it’s not the Bahamas. (By the way, I’m guilty too. Jillian Michaels WTF. I’m just having a moment of clarity right now. So next time I complain give me a metaphorical throat punch.) But I’d argue the only thing we should complain about is if a workout is too hard, because that’s actually a compliment in the perverse world of mumblechatter in which we all live.
Side note: what the heck does BDE stand for?
Anyways, CB crushed it like the Greco-Cuban god that he is. Sac was ready to lift blocks but happy to run and was as strong as ever. Ping is as strong as an ox and continues to strengthen his lungs as a runner; that guy is all-in. I think we were all in the range of 5000 to 7000 m, but check the score sheet.
