11 men gathered (most after a standard of intervals on the track) to pick up some rocks and display what little knowledge they had about beer. Today's workout: beer trivia. Here's how it went:
Warm-o-Rama
Mosey to center of the upper tier soccer field. Exercises in cadence:

The Thang:
We moseyed to the corner of the field, where YHC had some trivia cards and dice waiting, and we each picked out a rock friend to hang out with for the remainder of the workout. With list of exercises in hand (list is at the bottom of the BB), I would read a question – if the PAX got the right answer, we did less reps than if they got it wrong. Questions were all about beer, and all multiple choice. Examples:
– In what country are there circumstances where 5-year-olds can drink? (England)
– Which beer ingredient keeps beer from being cloyingly sweet? (hops)
– Which brewer sent a shipload of beer to the US 3 days after prohibition was repealed? (Heineken)
We made it through 22 questions (I think) – the first 18, we did the exercises in order on the list, and the last 6 we rolled the giant green and purple dice to see what we would get. I believe those were upright rows, LBC w/ rock, Mericans, and the last was the Wrong Answer suicide.
Mosey back to parking lot, Bagboy took us out.
Moleskine:
– Had a fun time with you men today. good mumblechatter and reasonably knowledgeable about beer. I'm pretty sure you got more than 50% correct, though I did provide a little guidance on a couple, and I did skip a few of the harder questions
– Highlight of the trivia: Question asked about what country originated the IPA, and Metallica stood on his rocks and pontificated about why it was England. Mind blown.
– Bagboy, other than complaining about his coccyx, just wanted to know what the dice were for. I told him next time I am bringing a bunch of random objects that may or may not be used
– There was much confusion about doing elbow plank in cadence, but I think it worked out ok.
– Cobains for the one answer you got right where I proceeded to pass 10 with no hesitation. Horizontal skull crusher? Not sure – but I'm sure we needed the extra reps. Thanks for catching it, Metallica, Shaken, and Mr. Holland
– Moses led the standard, and he also lead out most of the runs we did. Strong work.
– Mr. Holland, Moses, and Metallica all said they may be able to Q next week. Who it will be remains a mystery for now.
– Prayers up for Metallica's dad, who is in the hospital down in South Carolina. We hope his condition improves.
– Great to see all the guys out today. I heard a rumor that Jersey Boy may be handing off MQ duties in the near future, so I want to take this opportunity to say thank you, for persisting with BRP, even with low pax count over this summer. It was the original Saturday workout, and we need to keep it going. Your enthusiasm has been enjoyed, and your bringing new exercises to your Q's was risky (and didn't always work out – e.g. partner squat throw downs), but ensured we worked some muscle groups other than what you get through squats, mericans, and burpees.
