Don’t Read the NY Times…..

YHC is certainly no literary scholar but I do subscribe to the NY Times, mainly to guess how many of the Manhattan socialite brides-to-be agree to take their married name (answer: almost none).  Its a fun game for the whole family!  In Saturday's issue, there was also a blurb in the Style section detailing proper burpee form that I read while the rest of you were undergoing various sandbag-induced pain from Das Boat.

Armed with this new knowledge of proper burpee form, I took the Q this morning with 13 others.  As an aside, one of the newer (and younger) members of the PAX is (Gabe?) Fokker, which will always make me laugh.  Suffice it to say, that once I actually started doing burpees, my true kick out form reemerged and I resumed my place as the slowest burpee-er in the PAX.  So much for the NYT- I should have chosen sandbags instead.

The Thang-

– warmup in front of Chambers.  Burpee form began to break down here.

– run to track, Stairway to Seven.  More terrible burpee form by Q.

– run to front of Baker.  Neopolitan (10x regular, wide, diamond merkins- sucked) then 10 box jumps as appropriate (Stumpjumper favorite).

– jog to side of Baker for halftime Mary.

– jog behind Baker- interested to see if pullup bars were still there (they were!), so we did 8 burpees and squats twice.

– circle back- halftime Mary, box jumps, Neopolitan then back to Green for concluding Mary.

Moleskin-  Great group again.  Lifted up Crude (surgery today) and Mary Kay (hand MRI).  Sure all will go well and they both will be back soon.  Thanks for this group and the opportunity to lead.
