We LOVE to move weight at SVU!!!!Between rounds we played a dot game. 12 blocks total, 3 with a red dot, 3 with a blue dot, 3 with a yellow dot, 3 with a pink dot. 4 PAX in the wood chips with all blocks face down. For 1 min you bear crawl around flipping blocks with the goal to turn over everyone’s color but your own. Gotta protect your color! At the end of 1 min winner has the least dots of his color showing. Lots of fun, 2 rounds with SchoolBus volunteering to go twice! Then repeato the meatgrinder and finish back at the parking lot with 10 seconds to spare!!!MoleskinCheetah!!!! So close to “respect” it crazy. Gonna be good to have another old man in the group.OBD, Salty, and SchoolBus – so good to have y’all with us.Shredder and Dandelion grinding as always.Everyone loves the sandbag!Reflection?eta?? sf??a? ?a? ??µ????!(Metaxi sfeiras kay akmonos!)This ancient Greek saying means “Between the hammer and the anvil!” (Shameless use of my F3 moniker)Sometimes when we find ourselves between a rock and a hard place we think to just quit. I saw on IG the other day a post that said, “Resist the urge to quit.” This really hit me because so many times when lifting my mind will say, “That’s enough, just quit.” even though I could do 2 or 3 more reps. Often I want to quit before I even start and skip a workout. Sometimes I want to quit by not having the tough conversation with an employee or family member. But almost all good things are the result of pressing through the urge to quit. I try to remember Christ as the perfect example. Yes, He wanted the cup to pass, but He refused to quit. He made ALL the difference to each of us. Your mind will encourage you to quit because the amygdala wants to protect you. But resist the urge and press on. Remember that what is between the hammer and the anvil is metal… malleable… able to change and grow…but ab has to get hot first! (Thanks OBD)Always an honor to be with you gents.Anvil
