Dragonslayer is moving? The end of an era.

Event Date

Feb 23, 2023

What a great day for a work out. 60° on a beautiful morning. The word on the street is dragonslayer is moving after today. Well I’m happy I got to Q at the final chapter of Grace covenant dragonslayer.

How it went down.

To my delight, I rolled in around 455 to see popcorn already getting out of the car ready to get after it. He asked if we could do a lab before the standard at five. I love the early morning energy and enthusiasm so if we went right around five. We checked to see if there would be another, strong willed, individual ready to do a standard and lo and behold the mighty Cobra rolled in. If we went for a 3 mile standard. The perfect warm up.

Upon returning we found a Swamp Fox ready to roll. Everyone grab the kettle bell and the show started. Might I add, ampm showed up his standard 2 to 3 minutes late.

The Thang:

We would do figure eights with exercise in the middle of the eights. Circling around Grace covenant church and then back around the grass area.

The exercise were as followed:

  1. 100 kettlebell swings
  2. 100 kettlebell squats
  3. 100 Merkins
  4. Rifle carry the kettle bell one time around the church
  5. 50 Burpee’s
  6. 100 curls
  7. 50 kettlebell thrusters

I’ll tell you one thing, the rifle Kerry followed by 50 Burpee’s was not easy.

Final thoughts for GCC dragonslayer. I guess it’s moving south to Huntersville athletic park. That’s a little south for me on Thursdays so I will need to find a new AO that has a group of men that wants to push themselves really hard. I hope I can find that.

Ampm, way to grind this morning. But, I challenge you to be there on time. You are what you consistently do. You don’t want to get the reputation of being the guy who’s always late. All jokes aside, I challenge you to be on time for every workout you decide to go to for the next month.

Cobra, strong work today with adding the standard. We gotta figure out how to get a rec basketball league start soon.

Swamp Fox and popcorn thanks as always for challenging my fitness. When I try to put a workout together, I’ll try to make it hard enough for you guys to get tired.

As always, let’s get after today, LFG.
