FNG-1 is Papa Surf's 2.0 "Rhino".
FNG-2 is Rhino's friend Eddy, his first post.
In May, the sun doesn't set until Night Ranger is over. That means we're going to sweat a little, and earn our post workout beverages of choice. Here is roughly what went down last night at Night Ranger:
1915: Mosey up to the top of the deck with high knees, butt kickers, long striders, and Quadraphilia.
Disclaimer: "I'm not a professional. The professional workout is 2 levels down at Camp Gladiator".
WARMORAMA:
- Press Jacks x 15 IC
- Side Power Lunge x 10 IC
- Slow Windmill x 10 IC
- Slow Deep Squats x 15 IC
- Side-ways plank walk down 1 level, stopping at every 3rd right hand placement for 1 Merican
The Thing:
Hustle down to the parking lot. Get 3 kettle bells (two 25# and one 35#) to be carried with us tonight. Stop in front of the DPK building for:

Run to the playground across Gilead, switching off carrying the KBs, stopping half way for:

At the playground we did:
- 25 jump squats OYO
- 20 KB swings OYO
- 15 Burpees with the 180 degree turn OYO
- 10 pull-ups OYO
- Low Flutters x 25 IC

Run back to the deck, stopping half way for:

Run down to the parking lot for Mary:
- Mason Twists while passing KBs for a while (meh, not every idea is a keeper)
- LBCs x 30 IC
- 1 minute elbow plank
Recover, recover. We covered 1.3 miles according to Strava.
Moleskin:
- Welcome to FNG Eddy! We hope you are able to come back out and get your F3 Name soon.
- Speaking of Eddy, he and Rhino really know their cars! Over beers after, they entertained Jenny and Dallas with car stories, to the point where Dallas may be buying a car this weekend. We talked about the regrets of selling our first cars, and dream cars. And horse power. And making engines blow up. We covered it all.
- Jenny and Dallas ran #TheStandard before the workout. Apparently that's a thing, even before night workouts! Thanks for the support guys.
- Papa Smurf, to his credit, showed YHC a different KB exercise from the ol' swing. Thought, "hey I should incorporate that immediately!" Then literally forgot 2 minutes later. Probably a lack of oxygen.
- There were several BS calls on Jock Strap during the "long striders" in warm-up. He is built to dominate that exercise! Strong work tonight and good to see you bud.
- Strutter, fresh off his 30 day, 30 Burpee challenge for April, is looking fit for the effort. Great to see the beast you've morphed into.
- Freedom, thank you for the opportunity to lead. Love this AO and the 2nd F afterwards. Is anyone willing to kindly step up and Q next week for Freedom?
- In case you are wondering: Is it a good idea to Q a night workout, in between 2 very tough workouts by strong and eager VQs (Swing State at TMO Wed, Gypsy at Dragon Slayer Thur)? Uh, the answer is NO, that is not a good idea. Am quite sore, which is 49% Swing State's fault, 49% Gypsy's fault, and maybe 2% my fault. Going to need much caffeine to function today. Proud of all the awesome VQs that have been happening. YHC would urge the PAX to support as many as possible, it's a big deal.
Until next time, Turnpike.
