Elmers 6th Anniversary Q at Fallout

Thanks to all who came out for my sixth anniversary Q.  Six years ago at Fallout, I made a really stupid decision and there is no better way to spend life than sharing your stupid decisions with others!

Today's theme was the number 18.

Mosey to the blacktop

The Workout

Build a burpee on the blacktop (this took way longer than I thougth it would. The idea is to do six sets of each part of a burpee with a run to the end of the blacktop and back between each.

  • 6 x 18 = 108 Merkins
  • 6 x18 = 108 Donkey Kicks
  • 6 x 18 = 108 Jump Squats

Lap around the blacktop

Head to the wall

  • People's Chair with air presses x 18

Head to smokers lounge area where I got my name (breaking the formerly wooden picnic tables.

Step Ups x10ea leg at the smokers lounge area

Mosey to rockpile, split into three groups, each group chooses a large rock

Man in front of each line, does 1 rock clean to shoulder press, runs up hill and back down to other group, then does 2 cleans on the rocks, repeato until everyone gets to 6 reps

Back to parking lot for MAry

Moleskin

Thanks to all the old guard and the new guys who came out.  It was great to see all the regulars from Fallout as well as Sweet C (long time) and Blackbeard (the burpees were definilty punishment for trying to run me over :). Even if you did say you thought it was Tantrum.

As I said, there is significance is the number 18.  18 mean's life in Hebrew (the letter Chi is the 18th letter in the alphabet).  You may have also heard the toast L'Chaim, which means "to Life".  18 reminds of of the passing of my father in 2014 and I can absolutley say that having this group in that difficult time, meant alot to me.  My father grew up orthodox jewish and he always donated to charities in multiples of 18.  F3 has been very important to my life and I wanted to share that.
