Three Teams of two, one team low crawls through sand in volleyball court, jumps over wall to lower level and runs to start and jumps up on wall to swap with teammate.  Other pax does Mericans.  Round two same but pax waiting did WWIs.

Mosey to hill by tennis courts.

Three teams of two, one team starts at top of hill and pencil rolls down the hill while pax at bottom of hill bear crawls up.  Pax rolling diverge their path and roll over grates and into sticks, vertigo induced.  Didn’t go as planned.  Swap sides of hill and repeato.  Round 2: Pax at top of hill walk crab down hill, pax at bottom crab walk up.  Swap.

Mosey back to AO and stop 2x for block rows and curls for girls.

Max pull ups and stow the blocks.

Reflection:

Tie together investing and trust in the Lord….  Looking over investments and financials lately and a reminder of the fundamentals to base decisions on risk tolerance and asset allocation.  They commonly tell you to use a litmus test for your asset allocation as to how you would behave if you lost half of your portfolio value short term in some event.  Can you weather the storm and stick to your plan when the going gets tough?  If not, may need to change your allocation.  Mirror that to a recent family discussion about Abraham and Issac, Abraham being told by God to go and sacrifice his only son.  Wow, can’t imagine that.  Yet Abraham faithfully goes forward with the plan trusting in God only to be stopped at the last minute when his faith is proven.  What about us?  How deeply do we trust God? I know I can easily state (and maybe sometimes without being fully committed to the statement) I do in terms of placing faith in his plan for me and my family as well as knowing He has the big picture for what I am called to do.  Yet I question my ability to step up in such a trying and unbelievably complex scenario as Abraham found himself in.  Would I still place that trust in God at the front of all decisions?  I think its ok to question that and maybe know that is something to realize as a human weakness to not want to relinquish all control and place limits on our willingness to step down the road God has mapped for us,  yet that is what we are called to do and know inside that is the right journey.

Moleskin:

-Gecko is the smartest pax and does not pencil roll and comes out with minimal disorientation.

-Cheetah’s kryptonite is found…..  pencil rolls.

-Dandelion names his block Shirley and appears to curse it constantly.

-Strudel showed no ill effects from any of the rolling or crawling.  Must be his wrestler DNA.

-Mater low crawled through the sand like it was boot camp all over again!
