Today is Europe Day. They were a famous 80’s band and all (with some great hair), so the Pax honored them at #Viking. Oh wait, maybe the observance is really for the continent and not the band? Too bad, cause the European playlist was ready and the beat down was planned. Here’s what went down:

The sounds of Europe filled the air today. Disclaimer: We stayed away from “Carrie”. It’s simply too heavy and evokes flashbacks of couples skating, high school breakups, etc. YHC spared the Pax so they can save that one for a future high school reunions and slow dances with the M’s. In fact, the music was so bad that YHC had to just put away his speaker. It was almost like torture. No Pax left wanting to purchase hairspray or add Europe to their playlist. But if each of us is really honest, deep down, we all like Europe. They are one of those so bad/so good kind of guilty pleasures that none of us want to admit. YHC thought the 5 of us could easily replicate the sounds made by Europe. Waffle House noted that the soundtrack from the old school Transformers the Movie cartoon had some deep tracks too that had a similar Europe vibe. He’s right. That movie and soundtrack were both legit.

Bagboy, Chilly Willy, Jersey Boy, and Waffle House all got it done today-even when the going got tough. The bb doesn’t do this justice because it was a scorcher. We got in ~1.5 miles or so, several reps, and had good company (with a pinch of really bad 80’s music). Perhaps we should celebrate the continent of Europe today and not the band.
