5 hard charging leaders posted in the early (very early) morning gloom to earn their weekend at Emmaus.  It’s been awhile since I’ve posted (and even longer since I’ve Q’d), and rumors were circulating that Emmaus is the place to go if you wanted to slack off.  The aim was to crush those rumors today.  Here’s how it happened:

WARMUP

F3 Q Source Discussion on Trust (part of Lead Right) this morning, led by Red October.  Excellent discussion followed on the building of mutual trust between a leader and his team.  Shared pain, doing the little things right, and looking for the opportunities in every situation are key areas.

MOLESKIN:

  • Thanks to this group, every day is Day Zero.  And that’s a beautiful thing.
  • It was great training this morning with Jedi, Carpetbagger, Red October, and Ramrod.  I didn’t realize how much I’ve missed the crew until I was back with them this morning.  Of course, it also felt like I was never gone.  Through the stress of every day life, and the now added stress of fire & medical training, it was a recharging session I definitely needed.  I’m very grateful for it.
  • Prayers sent up for Red October, who is going to the beach with family (poor guy) and has the next 3 weeks off from work (again, poor guy).  We’re all deeply concerned and are with him in his time of suffering.  Is my sarcasm showing?
  • Prayers also for my M and 2.0s.  As I am becoming immersed in Firefighter & EMT certification courses (totaling to over 500 hours of training), she is stepping up and shouldering my share of the load at home and with the kids while I’m away.  Without her, none of this would be possible, and I’m incredibly grateful.  Prayers for continued strength, perseverance, and patience.
  • Thank you Jedi for the opportunity, and for your continued leadership to all of us.

See you again in the Gloom.

Aye,

BB
