F3 – Difference Makers in Smithville on Saturday

Event Date

May 06, 2023

6 Men Got after it on Saturday morning and completed a 2 mile romp around Smithville.  YHC, Moses, Primo, Coppertop, Metallica and Jersey Boy ventured off at 7am starting with a warm-a-rama at the center of the field in Smithville Park.  Lots of pain stations were thrown in, including a stop at the nearby playground, where dips, incline merkins and air squats were performed.  YHC tried to mix in some Smithville area history trivia questions along the way.  Correct answers meant they were excused from burpees.  The only wrong answer along the way was on Nannie Potts lane where PAX were asked for the price difference between a haircut at Potts Barbershop and Raeford’s.  Had they stuck with Coppertop’s answer of $4, they would have avoided the 10 burpees, however PAX went with $5 and got their extra credit fitness penalty of 10 burpees.  Mosey continued down Nannie Potts lane stopping at the old laundry mat where PAX would perform rock curls, bent over rows, and shoulder presses.

Mosey back towards the park, stopping once again at the picnic shelter for more merkins, air squats and some pull-ups on the picnic tables.

A few mobility moments mixed in along the way including Moses leading the last stretch.

Thank you Moses for closing us in prayer.

It seemed time was cut short and PAX didn’t count off or do name-a-rama but it didn’t take away from a great morning and awesome start to the weekend.

Immediately following the workout, Moses, Kosar, Metallica, Jersey Boy, Coppertop and Primo joined others from the Town Of Cornelius to help in the Annual Operation Curbside Cleanup.  An audible the night before from Kosar was much appreciated as Kosar brought with him a large trailer to help with the cleanup.

YHC received a message from Michael Archer (Town of Cornelius) which stated “F3s were the difference makers.  Please relay our sincerest thanks!”.

So proud of the men who came out and served our community to make a big impact in Smithville on Saturday-Thank you!

Humbly in Christ,

Possum
