F3LKN invades the Grand Strand (2/3)

Calling this out as “2 of 3” because last week Gnarly Goat Q’d the same AO and today, elsewhere on the Grand Strand, Blackbeard Q’d BlackBeard’s Revenge. If you ever have the chance to visit an AO while you’re on the road, do it. That is absolutely one of the best assets of F3 – the open and welcoming community of the F3 Nation. Plus you get to hear what they call the Cherry Picker. F3GS has their own name for it and I already forgot it. d’oh.

 

Warm up

The Thang

• Mosey around the block and over to the monkey bars
• [10 knee ups,  25 partner leg throw-downs] x 2
• Lieutenant Dans (ascending ladder; a lunge followed by a squat, then 2 lunges + 2 squats, all the way up to 10)
• [20 dips / 10 declined `merkins] x 2
• Copperhead Squats (slowly squat while counting to 3, pop up on 4)
• Short mosey to the street.
  Quick check of the watch and calculation of time remaining led to a modification of 11’s to be 7’s, which in retrospect was probably a good thing, considering the challenge given to the visiting Q at the end.
• 7’s
• Do 10 7 burpees
• Run to the other end of the street
• Do 1 WWII sit-up
• Repeat that pattern, subtracting 1 burpee and adding 1 WWII sit-up until you hit 1 burpee and 10 7 WWII sit-ups.
• Mosey back to where we started

• Thank you Beaker for lending me your AO this morning. It’s an honor to share with F3 what I can.
• F3 Grand Strand celebrates the life of one of their fallen PAX by challenging visiting Qs to answer questions about F3 while performing 34 burpees. Their own Dip Stick passed away suddenly at 34 years old, leaving behind his family. It was an honor for me to take part in this tradition. The PAX on hand today joined me as we gruelingly pushed out 34 burpees but it was worth it. I see on Twitter this morning that BlackBeard also took part in this challenge and earned his patch as well. Congratulations sir.
