AO

Not in pax list = M.O.D. listed as FNG-1.

Preblast was sent the day before and replied to with a Sish/Hish C from Kotter Burgoo.  He didn’t make it. ?  Also liked by Tugboat, who must have been cozied up in the same fartsack as Burgoo…

Aside from the FSers, 8 other pax including the Q who intended to show did just that, and here’s their story:

Upon exiting the vehicle, there was notable construction fencing, and YHC recalled the M stating the AO was a mess.  Well, this would not deter the Q nor the pax.  We made our way around it to the lower end of the AO and the block corral.  Time to get started.

Grab blocks, leave them facing the wall and playground.

Warm-o-Rama

The usual…  SSHs, ISTs, Windmills, Dwight Schrute’s (Tennessee-style)

Count off by 3 (Pay attention, Hasslehoff!) to split the group for social distancing.

3 stations: timed by station 3 – the pull-ups and laps

1 – blocks (AMRAP)

  • curls, skull crushers, lawn mowers then final set mix of curls and skull crushers

2 – wall

  • people’s chair, B2TW, people’s chair with air press, B2TW

3 – playground – pull-ups x 10, 2 laps around playground.  Audible for those law abiding pax who were hesitant to hop the fence:  Dips on the benches.

Blocks to the track for a Ladder (count by 2s):

  • 20 curls at bottom then quadrophelia up
  • 2 Merkins top
  • Then 18 and 4.  Then 16 and 6. 14 and 8.  12 and 10 then 10 more curls because it’s beach season.

Looks like we’ve got time for a slow mosey.  So let’s take a lap around the track (w/o blocks).  Stop with about a third or quarter lap to go:  Count off 1-8 and that’s your block to start from.  Spring to the start.  YHC “somehow” got the #1 block which was considerably shorter distance than the rest, especially shorter than the 8-block.  So the goal was set:  If the 8, 7 or 6 block catches the Q (1-block) before the finish, the pax would not have to do 10 burpees.  Well, guess who ran the fastest?  No burpees were burped.

Mary called by the pax.

The Moleskine:

YHC mistook Bob Ross for Tantrum as he appeared in the gloom from his vehicle up the hill.  Cobains, Bob Ross.  We were happy to see you!

Per the preamble, Burgoo nor Tugboat escaped the fartsack.  Look forward to see you soon, brothers.

Zare and M.O.D. have been hittin’ it hard this Spring.  Keep it up through the Summer, fellas, and return to school as BEASTS.

M.O.D. also needed less than half the distance to run down the Q in that last sprint.  Wow – haven’t seen that speed from him in a long time – well before the ankle reconstruction surgery of 2 years ago.  That speed will get you a TD on the field, Son.  Welcome back!  Zare also tracked the Q down from the very far block.  Those strides are far too long for this 47-year old to match.

YHC thinks we did just enough merkins and shoulder work today – proof being that when it came to Snake Eyes during Mary he stopped at 10.  Rare.  But welcomed.

Freedom swears that half block weighs more than the other blocks.  Like a true brother and leader – he continues to grab it so the rest of the pax doesn’t have to bear the weight.

The one person to not follow instructions when we broke out into the 3 groups after counting off was the one teacher in the group.  Hasslehoff will need to knock the rust off before classes resume in the Fall.

9-Lives waited til COT to inform us he had a workout planned but put the weinke back in the bag when he saw the PB the night before.  Looks like we’ve got a Q for next week!
