Yesteday afternoon, DonHo spun the Wheel of Unfortunate and what was likely his 15th take he finally got what he wanted. The pax were to drive to the wrong side of Huntersville to run up something called Mortimer Hill. Maybe just call it Canoe Cove Hill so people can actually find it.
On the long drive to Latta Springs, YHC passed by Fallout and could swear he smelled marshmallows, or possibly soft-serve ice cream. No wait – that's just the smell of softness that emanates from Auto and DonHo. And just like too many marshmallows and ice cream – it was sickening and YHC had to drive faster to get away from it.
The parking lot filled with mostly BGs, an excited dog, and the only cool GBs. But wait – there was one more pax who we didn't expect to see today. It's Jaws! He said he came for Tantrum (who was noticeably absent) but we all know it's really because he likes to do hard things. He's an FKT regular now.
Anyhow – 0530 was upon us so we took off.

Humid Moleskine
- We went up the hill 5 times. Not too shabby.
- Turncoat remains the king of Mortimer Hill. Maybe we should rename it Turncoat Hill.
- Enron's dog (Henry) silently judged us as we warmed up and was not a fan of the quadraphelia.
- Enron learned a lesson about laying down with your shirt off. Do your crunches faster or the fire ants will get ya.
- Swamp Fox liked the merkins. He also liked the running – don't let him tell you otherwise.
- Does Slingshot sweat?! He crushed it.
- Anchovy left behind the Beckett Boys to get in some hills and pain. Guess he knew that Fallout was going to be way too soft this morning.
- Perrier is in his 50s, looks like he's in his 40s, and runs like he's in his 30s. Strong work today.
- Jaws couldn't resist FKT in his old neighborhood. He was also totally unfazed by the workout. I see an FKT Q in his future where he crushes us all.
- Noticeably Absent – Tantrum. Not a single burpee was done today and not a single Tantrum was to be found.
Thanks to all those who came out today. It was the hardest workout on the west side of Huntersville this morning. Thanks to Frodo/DH for the opportunity to lead. Until next time – CB
