Fightclub – training starts on the ground

Event Date

Balance is one of the most important concepts to understand regarding fighting,,, both our own and the attackers. It is often best to understand balance when we don't have to worry about our own. So today we worked on fighting from the ground. From here we can learn how to see and feel what is happening to the attackers balance. And once we understand that we can learn how to control it and take it away when necessary. It also allows us to understand the liabilities regarding our own balance by controlling his. We practices what was taught to YHC as "trap" fighting. It is a system developed to disable and control the attackers body and limit his movement and balance. It is a fairly easy concept but allows for limitless variations for its application. Once this is learned on the ground it will applied while standing.

so, the first thing we will see is that we can't win on th ground without using our legs. If we try to fight from the ground using only the arms we will get destroyed by anyone that has any skill at all. We use our legs to take control of his body and to control his balance. But our arms are also important and must be used in conjunction with the legs.
First,,, relax. On the ground is not a place to panic and do "anything" just to  try to get away. It won't happen and will give the attacker a sure victory.
Control his ability to attack you and move freely by using legs and arms. And take his balance. As long as you have control of these things,,, you control the fight. Relax, he will either make a mistake or give up his balance to try to attack.
From here, well,, we have been practicing what to do. And we will keep advancing this techniques and then proceed back to the feet.

sorry for the delayed release of the #BB

Thank you for allowing YHC to share this art with you fine men. It is an honor.

And for anyone wanting to practice with us,,, it is always a good time to start. Don't wait until you need it to learn what to do.
