FINALLY, the Kamikaze has Come Back to Fallout

I says to myself yesterday, self, what better way to pay homage to all the great MQ's of the past at Fallout than by starting off my reign as benevolent MQ with a kamikaze. And after seeking guidance from Fallout vets Turnpike and The Force on how to properly perform the Fallout kamikaze, I did my best impression this morning with the help of 11 of the best Pax around. Here's what went down.

– Freedom started off the day with an 0500 standard and I showed up 10 mins later for a core standard.

Warm-o-rama

Quick mosey lap around the track. [Note to self – no time for quick mosey laps if you want to complete the full kamikaze.] The real disclaimer was given in an oral manner – anyone can sue anyone for anything in this country, exercise at your own risk.

Thang

Grab a block. Quick demo of block thrusters. Head to the bottom of the first soccer field. We had to get our blocks across the field for the thrusters so off we went carrying blocks at a medium pace for the first round of down and back. Second round was thrusters then lunges and back down to thrusters then back to the start line… you get the picture. We made it through 5 exercises before time had to be called, but we will finish next time, oh yes, we will finish. Today's kamikaze consisted of:

  • 10 block thrusters at the bottom of hill 1
  • 10 lunges at the top of hill 1
  • 15 WWII's at the bottom of hill 2
  • 15 merkins at the top of hill 2
  • 20 squats at the bottom of hill 3
  • and an undisclosed exercise for the top of hill 3 since we didn't make it that far

Mary

No time for Mary since we only had 30 seconds to spare before the clock hit 0616 and a rebellion would have ensued, so we planked it out while the Pax attempted to answer some Huntersville trivia – who is the current Huntersville mayor? (Answer – Melinda Bales).

Moleskine

  • Thanks to Tantrum for leading Fallout for the past year or so and for allowing me the chance to take the helm even though I have no idea what I'm doing.
  • Drebin, Popcorn, and Baller gave the new MQ the chance to lead from behind today while they continually smoked the rest of the field. Nice work, gentlemen.
  • The Torance faction continues to grow stronger and Colonel, Sack, and Force were definitely plotting something secret this morning.
  • Hoff and Bob Ross just quietly went about their business crushing the workout as usual.
  • I appreciate the noticeably absent mumblechatters on the first day as MQ – I look forward to this new upbeat, positive group at Fallout at least until T-Bone returns.
  • Thanks to Peart for taking us out in prayer this morning.
