YHC remembered late afternoon of Memorial Day that YHC was the Q the next morning… so after Qing Monday morning then attending a traditional Memorial Day cookout pool party (food and beverage were in abundance) YHC had to pull it together, begin hydration and put together a plan. Done, and in total there would be 9 of us working off the holiday weekend excesses. Here's how that went.
Disclaimer, mosey. Mosey around the parking lot then out toward Stumptown. Halt for actual warm-o-rama exercises. The usual stuff.
Then mosey down Stumptown hill to that nasty hill only Qs like. Time to celebrate a month of Hip Dips.
Quadrophelia up the hill, at the top 10 hip dips each side, mosey down for 1 burpee. Repeato 5 times to get 50 hip dips each side, but each time at the bottom add a burpee. Honestly, the quadrophelia was the toughest part.
Then another trip up the hill just so we could stop on the steepest part half way down for WW2s facing uphill (harder).
Time to head back up Stumptown, but we'd stop about half way for merkins to gather the pax. Then back up to the high side of St Marks, down the stairs and stop again to gather. Squats while we waited.
Then to the corner, everyone grab a block. But before we use the blocks, 5 chin-ups. Repeato.
Then block work for strength training (curls, skull crushers, back stretch, lawn mowers).
Blocks up and head back to the cars.
MWAR
Moleskine:
YHC enjoyed the hip-dips in May. Hence the 50 each side early in the workout, then 20 more each side during MWAR.
June's exercise for the #50ForFitness Challenge is curls.
Ponch, Amen and Titan ran a standard before the workout. Those men continue to work hard and get the results they're looking for. Love the accountability and encouragement they show one another.
Glad YHC realized YHC had the Q and glad that had me start drinking more H20 than beer. I had a better day for it, and hope I helped some pax do the same.
The Force is OUT
