Fission Was Sort of Like a Sharknado, But Not Really

AO

Jersey Boy was waiting for me in the parking lot when I rolled in at 5:23, eager to get after it.  I could see the look in his eyes, so I didn't even offer up the option to skip the workout and head straight to coffeeteria.  So… we went to work!

We began promptly at 5:30, did a lap around the parking lot and assembled for SSH, IST, Toy Soldier, Long Snapper, and Windmill (all x10 IC).  It was now 5:35, and the chance of a late comer seemed to be zero, so we moseyed to Mt. Zion Church.  I used mapmyrun last night to determine that the driveway and sidewalk loop in front of the church is 0.21 miles.  No significance there, that just is what it is.  Anyway, we did the following:

10 burpees, lap

20 Mericans, lap

30 squats, lap

40 LBCs, lap

We repeated this one time, and then with 10 minutes left we did a half set (5 burpees, 10 Mericans, 15 squats, 20 LBCs) with an out and back to the stop sign after each.

We moseyed back to launch for some brief Mary: crunchy frog, mason twist.

Moleskine:

– The Thang was loosely based on the Sharknado;  since JB isn't sure what that is, it didn't bother him that this was quite different

– Good 2nd F during the workout, talking about kids, their self worth, and raising them to help them improve upon today's society and prejudices

– A little wet, but no big deal.  It felt good.

– Overall, we ran 2.9 miles.  Good tune up for Jersey's tackling of the OST 8k this Saturday

– No coffeeteria, due to JB needing to help his 2.0 prepare for the M's birthday morning.  Valid excuse this time.

– It was a good morning.  If you are reading this and are not named Jersey Boy, sorry you missed it.  See you next time.
