Football? Conditioning

It was football night at the ranger and YHC tried to lead the pax to grid iron glory. Here's how it went.

Warmup:
SSHx25

Dwight Shrute x10

The Thang:

Washington Football Team (Indian) Run .8mi

Get blocks 15x Curls then zamporini to deck level 1 for Position conditioning:

Linebacker Drill x2
Block holding side step up a level and back down facing same way

OLine Drill x2
Block Squat parking lines half way up parking level – sprint the rest, turn around, bear crawl to blocks, squat lines back

Receiver & DBack 
With a partner, 1 runs backwards, 1 forwards runs to the top of the deck; swap forwards/backwards at each half level. Run back down.

QB practice
Pax taking turns as QB/Reciever. 1 is QB, 2 is receiver; 2 runs for a pass >10 yards in route, if caught 1 burpee for the Pax. If dropped 5 burpees for the Pax. 1 returns to the group, 2 becomes QB, 3 is new receiver.

Moleskin:

  • YHC used football words and said football at least 5x, it was a football workout. Jenny and Jaws were not overly impressed with the lack of football knowledge.
  • Thanks to Freedom for the last minute Q swap 
  • Spaceball has embraced the name and went plaid during the run
  • Camelback forwent the standard and was glad he did. The man throws a tight spiral too
  • Burning Bush and Something ran a standard and likely regretted it.
  • Carpet Bagger was a late add but destroyed the block work as always – thanks for calling the curls!
  • Swanson Showed true grid iron grit, made his father proud
  • We may have finally found a workout that quells crocs' mumble chatter
  • Bootlegger started the run at ludicrous speed. YHC liked it, the Pax did not
