Football is back!

The Foundry 

 

A football was introduced. If someone dropped the ball, you had 5 burpees.

 

Run zigzagging to the back of parking lot with side shuffling, throwing the football and doing a few burpees. 

 

Warm up:

 

SSH 15

Toy soldier 10

Carrot puller  10

Windmill 10

High knees burpees (6 to 1) 10

 

6 stations are set up and ready

 

Each station (45 sec then 15 break to rotate).  Perfect number for the PAX as everyone had a separate station. 

 

Station 1:  block push

One person pushes across parking & back

 

Station 2:  6 ft Square with frisbee in the middle & 4 tennis balls on a cone.  Person runs across for first ball and places in frisbee then the next 3 balls. 

Next the person reverses the tennis balls placement. 

 

Station 3:  chalk ladder 

High step

Side to side 

(Always stepping both feet in the square)

 

Station 4:  jump rope

 

Station 5:  run up, shuffle over then back  parking lot lines (pretend they are a wall). Continue to the end of parking lot 

 

Station 6:  jump sideways over block back & forth.  after halfway whistle switch to Rocky Balboa

 

Rotate 4 times.  The football was still thrown around with a few drops for burpees. 

 

Next is short yardage sprints 

10, 20  & 30 yds

 

Did this for about 5 minutes    The football was still thrown around with a few drops for burpees. 

 

 

Next run football plays.  2 minute drill

 

1 receiver

1 QB

The rest are linemen 

 

Lineman hold a squat

 

If the ball is dropped, the QB & receiver do 5 burpees 

After a play, everyone rotates. 

 

Once ball is caught, everyone sprints to the new line of scrimmage 

 

The PAX barely made it across the parking to score a TD before time expired. 

 

Recover recover 

 

I think everyone enjoyed the football theme except for the extra burpees for letting the football hit the ground. 

 

It was great to see Qbert & Caboose as I hadn’t seen them in a while.   Great work by everyone.
