15+ pax gathered for the launch of FUEL at Starbucks Birkdale! 10 of the pax weighed in and set goals (lose, gain, or maintain) regarding bodyweight.
We will provide a chance to weigh in every week for reality checks and accountability, but not everyone has weight loss as their goal.
- Jersey Boy provided a goal worksheet and explained the FUEL (Food Used For Energetic Living) and PACE (Planning Accountability Conversation Encouragement) mission.
- Frontier discussed his experience (nearly 40 lbs lost and maintained), and his goal to sustain.
- Gnarlygoat talked about his "planning dance" with The Queen (the daily discipline over what is put into the body).
- 9 Lives provided some insight on what's working for him (portion control, less deserts, etc).
- Hippie provided great advice to eat the stuff that's "good for you" ie vegetables FIRST!
- Deepdish chimed in with some of his experiences.
- Omega was disappointed that there were no donuts.
- Omaha rolled in late and opined that he might have to explore a bit of weight training.
And on and on the discussion went. These discussions will help keep us all motivated to make our dance with the Queen a beautiful one. There was lots of talk this morning, so feel free to chime in with things that resonated with you. We hope to continue to have a good turnout every Wednesday to FUEL our minds so we can better fuel our bodies.
