Hell Blenders

Event Date

Jun 30, 2020

Flo put out the call for help and YHC decided to lend a hand while he relaxed at the beach. Many were summoned, but only 5 hard-charging demons answered the summoning. This is the havoc they wreaked at The Blender.

0500 0510 Standard

  • YHC planned on running some loops in the parking lot at 0500, but the 2.1 decided that he needed some more attention before I was to be released from my service. Arrived at GCC at 0510 and got about a mile in when suddenly dark forces started bubbling and YHC needed to perform an emergency exorcism in a port-a-john. After clearing out the demons, YHC found Qbert and Cousin Eddie at launch. Firestone and Master Po soon arrived. While Master Po grabbed a bell from the treasure chest, we made our way to Hell's Ascent.

Human Skin Moleskine

  • GCC has port-a-john and hoo boy they come in handy. Can't think of any other AO with so many accessible bathrooms!
  • Hell's Ascent needs to be mowed. YHC planned on doing more there, but after the first set and audible was called. Once the grass is shorter, there is going to be so much more room for activities!
  • Where the Macaulay boys at?!
  • There was a short discussion lamenting the lack of pax attendance at GCC workouts. The AO is one of the best with lots of different equipment (pull-up bars, Kettle bells, blocks, big boy blocks, tires, jugs, etc.). There is flat ground, there are hills, it's got it all. Would be great to see the pax switch up their routines and attend different AOs. Would be even BETTER to see some of the old GCC faces come back, especially the runners (There aren't even any races happening – stop training for nothing!).

Thanks to those who came out today. Strong work by all and not one injury! Until next time – CB
