We didn't take roll call, but I this was our largest "Hoffa" contingent yet!!!
(Hoffa is an "AO" we created to support our fellow Pax who are between jobs or in a sketchy job situation and looking for better pastures.)
We have a parasitic relationship with The General and suck up the coffee so well provided by Mangus, Aroma, et al!!!
Today we began reviewing an article titled, "The Ten things you should do while Unemployed," but this lead to better things as many of the Pax shared their job loss experience and what it did for them such as realigning their values, deciding to start their own business (Moses, great testimonial), etc. This is the really cool thing about F3 and what we can do for each other.
When in btw jobs, it can be stressful at home talking through these issues. Here you get to speak with and hear from guys like you who have been through it. No man left behind!
We have had some great success already. Swanson announced he just accepted a job yesterday and credited the feedback the Pax provided (speak up and ask for help from those you know). Two others just accepted jobs (f/t and p/t) in their fields.
We have a huge network of guys who care and have an incredible amount of job search know-how. The extensive professional networks our guys have provide leads AND hope when you feel a little lost or overwhelmed.
I have to give a special plug for Deep Dish, Elmers and Magnus who have been at almost every post and have provided technical support, but more importantly, their enthusiasm and compassion. Today was maybe my proudest day of my F3 involvement. Thanks guys!! We got more guys to support. Let's keep being there for one another.
